Create Stunning Cytogenetics Workflows

Introducing Ikaros 7, the latest version of the renowned imaging software

Building on its predecessors, Ikaros 7 integrates a range of innovative tools designed to create leaner, faster, and more streamlined workflows in cytogenetics imaging. This simplifies the creation of karyograms and the evaluation of fluorescence images. By incorporating advanced artificial intelligence methods and a secure, rapid validation process, Ikaros 7 becomes an essential tool for modern cytogenetic institutes.

Fluorescence Imaging

You may benefit most from the following customizations:

Ikaros features a color fluorescence mode that replaces traditional photography, eliminating the need for time-consuming darkroom processing. It generates color images by sequentially capturing monochrome images of different color components and automatically merging them into a cohesive final image. With automated integration time control, it ensures precise exposures from the first shot, removing the need for test exposures or guesswork. This streamlines workflow, minimizes hands-on time, and helps preserve the specimen. Even weak fluorescent signals against a strong counterstain produce sharp and clear images.

Our lab had the opportunity to be the first user to test the betaversion of MetaSystems’ new AI-based karyotyping software Ikaros. We experienced a time gain of up to 50% in the karyotype analysis of bone marrow metaphases. This enormous gain in efficiency allows us to keep pace with the ever-increasing workload in times of shortage of personnel resources.
