Leveraging the flexibility of the Metafer Platform Software, laboratories worldwide have seamlessly combined and managed varying magnifications and contrast techniques - including brightfield, fluorescence, DIC, and darkfield - within a single, Metafer-based imaging workflow, enabling the straightforward generation of high-quality composite images.
Deep Neural Networks
Additionally, the incorporation of customer-trained Deep Neural Networks (DNN) into the workflow bears the option to automatically receive preliminary suggestions for image evaluation.
TissueFISH
Users can perform pre-scans on H&E-stained samples to identify regions of interest and match these to adjacent tissue sections for analysis. Tissue Micro Array (TMA) patterns can also be edited with a convenient tool for high-throughput applications. Optionally, users can incorporate custom workflows for automated cell segmentation with user-trained Deep Neural Networks (DNNs). The software provides real-time signal suggestions, dynamic data histograms, and image enhancement options.
Whole Slide Imaging
Whole slide imaging on the Metafer platform streamlines sample digitization, analysis, and sharing. Users can digitize up to 800 slides in a single scan with versatile magnification options, including oil objectives, and seamlessly combine multiple contrasting methods. Automated workflows capture Z-stacks and generate virtual slides in the background, enabling re-creation with different parameters. The proprietary VSI format retains all image data, while the VSViewer allows precise navigation, annotation, and workflow integration. Neon enhances image management, offering intuitive tools for detailed visualization, metadata display, and region-of-interest selection.
